Fidelmina was born in Roccagorga, Italy on February 29, 1920, the daughter of Francesco and Fortunata Romanzi. She and her husband, Frank Scacchetti, were married in 1937. Fidelmina arrived in the United States in 1956 with her three daughters, joining her husband who came in 1954. They resided in Campbell, Ohio from 1956-1978, where she was employed by Moyer?¢s for twenty years. She was also a member of St. Lucy?¢s in Campbell. After her husband retired, Fidelmina and Frank moved to Santa Ana, California where they resided until 1995. After living in California, they relocated to northern Georgia. Fidelmina was a loving wife and mother, an avid cook and enjoyed knitting. Fidelmina is preceded in death by her husband, Frank, her parents, and her four brothers from Italy. She is survived by one sister and her daughters: Caroline (Rudolph) Kogelnik from North Lima, Maria (Dennis) Sell from Texas, and Patricia (Richard) Smith from Georgia. Fidelmina also leaves behind seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews both in Ohio and Italy. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Mary Crowley Cancer Research Centers, a cause that was important to Fidelmina. The Scacchetti family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home in Campbell and will receive friends Friday morning from 10am -12:00pm.
