Eugene (Gino) M. Pascarella, 66 Boardman…Private family services were held for Eugene (Gino) M. Pascarella, 66, who passed away Friday, August 23rd at St. Elizabeth's Boardman Health Center. Gino was a longtime north side native, born March 12, 1947, in Youngstown, the son of Alfonso and Anne Georgic Pascarella. He was a 1965 graduate of Ursuline High School, where he excelled in varsity football. He achieved "All state" status as a defensive tackle and was very popular with his peers. Later, Gino went on to work as a baker, and shared his skills with businesses such as Wonder Bread and Sparkle Bakery over many years. At the same time, he worked as a full-time employee at General Motors, where he thrived in the Paint Department. Gino's seemingly unlimited energy extended into his personal life, where he could always be counted on by his family and friends. He was well known and loved everywhere he went. Gino was a genuinely caring man who put most of his effort toward making everyone around him happy. He was a beloved husband, father, brother and grandfather and leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of the last 24 years, the former Dolly Farina; his son, Gino Pascarella; his daughters, Gina Pascarella and Lisa Eaton; and his grandchild, Hannah Marie Brown, whom he loved spending time with most of all from the day she was born. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Mary Ann Richardson. The Pascarella family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home.
