Lowellville…Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at the Wasko Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. at Christ the Good Shepherd Parish at St. Joseph the Provider Catholic Church, with Rev. Michael Swierz officiating, for Ethel H. Hvizdak, 90, who passed away Friday evening.
Ethel was born June 29, 1925, in Campbell, the daughter of Frank and Ludmilia Horvatich.
She was a member of Christ the Good Shepherd Parish at St. Joseph the Provider Catholic Church. Ethel was a die-hard Cleveland Indians fan.
Her husband, Joseph J. Hvizdak, whom she married July 12, 1943, passed away September 28, 1996.
Ethel leaves to cherish her memories her daughters, Dorothy (Pete) Nicolaou of Lowellville, with whom she made her home, Marilyn Hvizdak Percival of Maryland, and Gloria (Tom) Franco of Campbell; grandchildren, Nicole (Jim) Jablonski, Jaimie (Charles) Gasior, Michael Nicolaou, Aaron (Jenn) Percival, William (Cassie) Percival, Sarah (T.J.) Percival, Tom Franco and Francine Franco; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her grandson, John W. Percival; her brothers, Frank, Mike and Nick; and her sister, Violet.
The Hvizdak family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home and will receive family and friends Tuesday morning from 10-11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
