YOUNGSTOWN – A mass of Christian burial will be officiated by Father Denis G. Bouchard, F.S.S.P. on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Queen of the Holy Rosary, with calling hours beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the church for Esther Sadlak, 85, who passed away Sunday, October 27, 2013. Esther was born in Campbell on October 22, 1928 and was the daughter of Michael and Julia Ondercin Sadlak. She was a graduate of Wilson High School and went on to teletype operations school. Her career consisted of working for several companies through the years, beginning with the City of Youngstown Water Department. She then moved to Kansas City, Missouri, where she was employed by Braneth Company (Pan-Am) as a radio-aircraft communications specialist. Moving back to Cleveland, Ohio, she became a teletype communicator for U.S. Steel and then on to Cold Metal Products where she retired. Esther was a deeply religious woman who studied the bible regularly. She was also an intelligent woman who was self-educated in homeopathic remedies and iridology Besides her parents, Esther was preceded in death by brother, Robert Sadlak; a sister, Anna Long, a half-brother, Michael Foycik, and a half-sister, Mary Kalis. Esther leaves to cherish her memories her brother, John Sadlak whom resided with her. She will sadly miss her lady friends whom she had lunch with once a month for the past 20 years. The family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Kubina-Yuhasz-Wasko Funeral Home, 5925 Market Street in Boardman, where they will receive friends on Monday, November 4, from 5 to 7 p.m., with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m..
