Biography

YOUNGSTOWN – Erwin R. Shumaker, 65, passed away November 17, 2013 at his residence. He was born April 24, 1948 in Youngstown, a son of Erwin Hugh and Mary Nancy Sandy Shumaker. He worked for Sheet & Tube and North Star Manufacturing and then worked part time driving cars for different dealerships. He was an avid collector of guns, knives, and coins, and belonged to the Youngstown Rifle Association. He leaves to cherish his memories, his brother, Richard (Lorrie) Shumaker of Boardman, his beloved nephew, Noah, who he passed on his love of coin collecting to, and nieces, Ashley and Carly of Struthers. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Lucille Jensen. Per Erwin's wishes, there will be no calling hours or services. Cremation will take place.
