YOUNGSTOWN – Graveside services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Lake Park Cemetery for Emily Hans, 89, who passed away quietly early Wednesday morning. Emily was born Jan. 15, 1924, in Simon, Romania, one of nine siblings, and was the daughter of Nicolae and Varvar Cojocariu. She retired from National Uniform Service at the age of 70. She was a hard working mother who was very dedicated to her family and all stray animals that God sent her way. Besides her parents, Emily was preceded in death by her husband, Nick Hans, whom she married April 21, 1945. Emily leaves to cherish her memories, her children, Virgil (Betsy) Hans, Zoe Hans, Nicolae Hans, and Marlena Hans; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A special thank you from the family to Dr. John Koval, Bobby Cene, Liz Hans and Patty Antenucci for their care and comfort to their mother who will be sadly missed by many friends and family. The Hans family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Kubina-Yuhasz-Wasko Funeral Home. Interment will take place at Lake Park Cemetery.
