Emil Graban, 93

Lowellville… Emil Graban, 93, of Lowellville passed away at Hospice of the Valley, surrounded by his children on May 7. He was the beloved husband of Veronica Leason Graban, who preceded him in death in 1998.

Emil was a 1942 graduate of Campbell Memorial High School, and served in the Army during WW II. He worked for over 35 years for Ohio Edison in their forestry department, and had his own business for trimming trees and removing stumps.

He leaves behind two sons, Robert (Marlene) Graban of Livonia, Michigan, and Bill (Lisa) Graban of Mooresville, NC, and two daughters, Jeannie (Greg) Wood of Glendale AZ, and Amy (Denis) Crawford of Boardman. Another son, John Emil Graban died in infancy. He leaves behind 4 grandsons, Mark (Amy) Graban, Billy Graban, Michael (Krissy) Graban, and Kevin Graban, and 2 granddaughters, Laura (Kevin) Gale and Jade Graban. Emil is also survived by his great-grandchildren, Jacob and Veronica Gale.

He is also survived by his brother Edward, of Campbell. Preceding Emil in death are his parents, George and Mary Evancho Graban; his brothers Michael, George, Steven, and Joseph and sisters Mary, Helen and Eleanor.

Emil recently resided at Woodlands at Hampton Woods, Poland, Ohio  The family would like to thank the staff at Woodlands for their diligence, affection and care.

Visitation is Monday, May 9 at Wasko Funeral Home in Campbell from 4-7 PM, with a Panikhida service near the end of the visitation hours. The funeral is Tuesday, May 10, at 11:00 AM at St. John The Baptist Orthodox Church, 305 Struthers Liberty Rd., Campbell, with visitation at the church beginning one hour prior.

Memorial donations can be made to St. John The Baptist Orthodox Church or Hospice House.
