Elliot "Bird" Laboy, 62

Youngstown……………Funeral services will be held at 7:00pm Friday evening at the Wasko Funeral Home in Campbell, with Deacon John Rentas officiating for, Elliot "Bird" Laboy, 62, who passed away Monday evening. E lliot was born, July 8, 1954 in Youngstown, the son of Manuel and Emma Cruz Laboy. He was a 1973 graduate of East High School and went on to serve his country in the United States Army from 1973 to 1975 where he was stationed in Germany as a Paratrooper. Elliot was an avid football fan, and enjoyed cheering for "The Pittsburgh Steelers".  He also enjoyed skydiving and working on cars. He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Emma of Youngstown;  daughter, Kristy Laboy of Campbell; son, Erik (Marcella) Laboy of Boardman; four grandchildren, Amaia, Erika, Erik, Jr. and Cruz; and seven brothers and sisters, Ernest (Carmen) Laboy, Ana (Joe Rodriguez) Rivera, Nelson Laboy, Richard (Irene) Laboy, Edgar Laboy, Sonia Laboy and Michael (Evelyn) Laboy. He was preceded in death by his father, Manuel. The Laboy family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home in Campbell, and will receive family and friends on Friday evening from 5 to 7pm.
