Boardman, Eleanor Marie Babik-Rakocy, 97 passed away peacefully at her home Thursday September 3, 2026.She was born Nov 6, 1928 in Youngstown, a daughter of Michael J. and Anna Yash Repko. 

Eleanor was an East High School graduate and worked in the women’s wear department at K-Mart in Boardman. Eleanor was a life long member of Our Lady of Sorrows Parish, Saint Matthias Church, Infant Jesus of Prague Guild and Jednota. 

Her first husband Michael J. Babik, passed away in 1975, and her second husband Andrew Rakocy passed away in 2009. 

She leaves to cherish her memory her children Beverly Babik and Richard (Brenda) Babik, and brother Michael Repko. Eleanor is preceded in death by her son Michael Babik, , brothers Paul Repko and Raymond Repko, and sisters Mary Procrivnak, Margaret Cox, Elizabeth Repko, Dorothy Shirilla and Agnes Oskrip. 

Friends and family may call from 5 to 7 Monday September 14 at the Kubina-Yuhasz Funeral Home, Bordman. A Mass of Christian of Burial will be at 11:00am, Tuesday, September 15 at St. Mary Magdalane Parish, St. Christine Church. She will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery
