Edward S. "Butch" Kraynak, 77 Youngstown………..Funeral services will be held at 10am Saturday morning at St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, concelebrated by his brother Fr. Nicholas Kraynak and Fr. Michael Farynets for Edward S. "Butch" Kraynak, 77, who passed away Tuesday afternoon. Butch was born Oct. 16, 1939 in Youngstown, the son of Michael and Anna Orinchak Kraynak, and was a lifelong resident of Youngstown. He was a 1958 graduate of East High School and served his country proudly in the U.S. Army from 1963 to 1965. He was a member of the church and the Greek Catholic Union. Butch was a Commercial Advertising Artist for various retail stores throughout the area for over 40 years. He was also known as an animal and nature lover. Ed was a very giving person throughout his life. He leaves to cherish his memory his two sisters, Mary Whitacre of Salem and Helen Kraynak, with whom he shared a home; three brothers, Emil Kraynak of Columbus, Fr. Nicholas D. Kraynak of Youngstown and Bill Kraynak of Youngstown; and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Michael, John and Andy; and two sisters, Ann and Margaret. The Kraynak family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home and will receive family and friends on Saturday morning from 9 to 10am in St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church.
