Edward A. Graban, Sr., 90

Campbell…Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church, officiated by Rev. Andrew Nelko, for Edward A. Graban, Sr., 90, who passed away Monday morning at the Maplecrest Nursing Home after a long illness.

Mr. Graban was born September 13, 1925 in Campbell, to George and Mary Evancho Graban.

He graduated from Campbell Memorial High School, and proudly served in the Navy during World War II.

Mr. Graban married Helen Rife in 1961 and settled in Campbell. Mr. Graban worked 37 years for Ohio Edison.

Mr. Graban was active in St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church and was a member of its' "O" Club. He was an avid bowler and led his leagues in average several times over the years. Mr. Graban also followed sports closely and was a member of the Campbell Gridiron club.

Mr. Graban is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ruth (Graban) and Joseph Mico, of Campbell, and his son, Edward Jr., of Brooklyn, NY.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Helen; brothers, Michael, George, John, Steven, Joseph and Emil; and sisters, Mary, Helen and Eleanor.

Calling hours will take place Thursday, June 16, at St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with funeral services to take place at 11 am. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Mr. Graban's life.
