YOUNGSTOWN – A service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, September 22, 2017 at the Kubina Yuhasz Wasko Funeral Home, where Pastor Tim Young will officiate for Donald Eugene Coe, Sr., 85, who was called home where he joined his beloved wife Louise in heaven on Saturday.

Donald was born July 19, 1932 in Williamsfield, Ohio, a son of Lynn Alfred and Dorothy Hughes Coe.

Donald was a proud veteran of the United States Navy, where he served during the Korean War from 1950 to 1953. He worked as a steelworker for Republic Steel prior to joining the military and then continued working there after he returned, retiring in 1985.

Donald was a member of White Memorial Wesleyan Church. He enjoyed cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers and watching NASCAR and had an extensive collection of country western music. He loved traveling with his wife and friends, joining friends for coffee & donuts at IGA, but most of all spending time with his family, especially his granddaughters.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his son, Donald E. Coe, Jr. of Youngstown, his granddaughters, Jessica (Rick) Bosly and Erinn Coe, his great grandson, Greyson Bosly, his brothers Butch and Bill Coe, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by the love of his life, the former Lillian "Louise" McNamee, who he married June 28, 1957 and who passed away January 29, 2013, as well as 3 older brothers and 2 sisters, Betty Gettings, whom he was very close to, and Lucy Coe.

The family has entrusted his care to the Kubina Yuhasz-Wasko Funeral Home, where they will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Friday. Burial will be at Green Haven Memorial Gardens, where military honors will be rendered.
