Darlene E. Cancel, 62 Campbell…Funeral services will be held Wednesday 11AM at the Wasko Funeral Home with Father Michael Swierz officiating for Darlene E. Cancel, 62, who passed away Friday evening in St. Elizabeth Health Center. Mrs. Cancel was born October 10, 1952 in Youngstown, the daughter of Walter and Elizabeth Ignet Duesing Besides working for St. Elizabeth health center as an LPN for 30 plus years, Darlene was a realtor and owner of Highland Realty, and then went on to work at Cocca Realty. Currently Darlene was employed with Vista Care. She was a member of Christ the Good Shepherd Parish at St. Joseph the Provider Church. Darlene was a 1970 graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School and then went on to Choffin Career Center to receive her LPN. She then continued her education and received a degree in criminal justice from Youngstown State University. She loved to gamble and enjoyed her trips to Mountaineer. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband Angelo whom she married Dec. 12, 1978; 2 daughters; Tracie Cancel of Campbell and Amy (David) Cancel-Hendershot of Blacklick, Ohio; and 4 grandchildren; Alexandria DeFabio, Victoria Moderalli, and Dylan and Deven Hendershot. Besides her parents, Darlene was preceded in death by 2 brothers. The Cancel family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home and will receive family and friends on Tuesday from 5-8 p.m.
