Daniel W.
Carnahan
Mar 19, 1984 — Jan 25, 2013
Daniel W. Carnahan, 28 Cincinnati…Funeral services will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at the Wasko Funeral Home and at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Apostles Parish at Sts. Peter and Paul Church for Daniel W. Carnahan, 28, who was called home by the angels after a long battle with cancer. "Dan" was born March 19, 1984, in Youngstown, the son of Bill and Kathy Carnahan. He was a 2002 graduate of Lowellville High School. Dan's smile filled a room from the time he was born. He would turn the world on with his big heart that went along with his great smile. He worked at Med Plus before becoming ill. Dan was a workaholic, always working hard to get things done. Dan was a "tecky" and computers were his love. There was pretty much nothing he couldn't do when it came to computers. He was also a huge fan of Star Wars and Star Trek. He was a gentle, loving, and caring person who will be sadly missed by many. He leaves to cherish his memory, his mom, Kathy; his brother, David; his nephews, which were the joys of his life, Noah and Jonah Carnahan; aunts and uncles, Jim Carnahan, Ron and Chris Carnahan, Steve and Angie Matesevac, and Duane and Ann VanSuch; as well as many other cousins. He also leaves his dog, Buster. Dan will walk the gates of Heaven holding hands with his aunt and best friend, "Cookie" Carnahan, who passed away January 19th. Danny was also preceded in death by his father, Bill Carnahan; his grandparents, Jim and Olga Carnahan and Joe and Ann Matesevac. The Carnahan family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home and will receive friends Friday from 5-8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, Danny requested donations be made to the Leukemia Lymphoma Society. The Carnahan family would like to thank Hospice of Cincinnati for taking such good care of Danny in his final hours and the entire third floor Oncology Staff at the Jewish Hospital in Cincinnati for their loving care and complete support during such a difficult time. "Whether Danny was shooting "nerf" darts or throwing a football, the staff always found time to laugh with him. They were not just doctors or nurses, they were family who helped us in our time of need." A memorial mass will he held in Cincinnati at a later date.
