Obituary

BOARDMAN - Calling hours will be held beginning at 9:30 a.m. with a prayer service at 10:30 a.m., on Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2014, at the Kubina-Yuhasz-Wasko Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church with Father Edward Neroda officiating for Christine Magielski, 68, who was suddenly called to be with the Lord on Saturday, Aug. 9, 2014. Christine was born Jan. 20, 1946, in Hohenfels, Germany, a daughter of the late Stanislaw Magielski and Stefania (Michalski) Magielski. She immigrated to the United States and the Youngstown area in 1950. Christine was a 1964 graduate of Poland Seminary High School. She was a proud member of the Polish National Alliance, Group 827, and the Polish Roman Catholic Union of America. She was also a member of St. Stanislaus Church in Youngstown. Christine was an extremely caring, kind and sincere woman and loved being around people and animals. She was devoted to her family and friends and enjoyed all the wonderful times they shared together. She spent many of her days writing thoughtful letters and cards to those she loved. Christine was always able to bring out the best in others and put a smile on their faces. She was also a music lover, especially a fan of Elvis and the Oldies. Christine was a resident of Shepherd of the Valley nursing home in Boardman, where she enjoyed participating in arts, crafts, and painting. Christine will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her brother, Joseph (Judith) Magielski, Sr. of Boardman; nephews Joseph, Jr. of Boardman and Stanley (Melissa) Magielski of North Lima; niece Ann (Joshua) Weinberger of Wadsworth; great-nephews and nieces Stanley and Lillyana Magielski, and Olivia and Alexander Weinberger. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant brother, John. The Magielski family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Kubina-Yuhasz-Wasko Funeral Home,5925 Market St., Boardman, OH 44512, where they will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2014. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown. Interment will take place at Lake Park Cemetery.
