Obituary

Campbell: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 10:00 a.m. at Christ the Good Shepherd Parish at St. Joseph the Provider Catholic Church for Charles P. Gasior, 68, who passed away early Saturday morning. Mr. Gasior was born December 22, 1943, in Youngstown, a son of Walter and Magdalene Helon Gasior and was a lifelong area resident. He graduated from South High School in 1961. Mr. Gasior was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1965 and served one tour of duty in Vietnam. Mr. Gasior worked for 40 years as a railroad clerk for various railroad companies, retiring in 2004 from the Norfolk Southern Railroad. He was a member of Christ the Good Shepherd Parish at St. Joseph the Provider Catholic Church. He enjoyed the ocean, fishing and traveling with his wife, Janet. He leaves his wife, the former Janet M. Pacelli, whom he married on September 5, 1970. Mr. Gasior also leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter, Lisa (Edward) Bozic of Concord Twp.; his son, Charles V. (Jaimie) Gasior of Stow; four grandchildren, Edward, Isabella, Matthew Bozic and Charles J. Gasior; a sister, Dolores Alexis of Georgia; and a brother, Frank (Phyllis) Gasior of Boardman. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Walter Sonny Gasior. The Gasior family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home and will receive friends Thursday from 5-7:00 p.m. at the Wasko Funeral Home.
