Obituary

Catherine A. "Kitty" Orjavsky, 80 Lowellville…Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. at the Wasko Funeral Home, with Father Michael Swierz officiating for Catherine A. "Kitty" Orjavsky, 80, who passed away late Saturday morning at Maplecrest Nursing Home. Catherine was born October 18, 1933 in Youngstown, the daughter of John and Katherine Mihlan Orjavsky. She was a 1951 graduate of Ursuline High School. She attended Stetson University in Florida and graduated from Weber College of Merchandising and design in Florida, which included a summer-long fashion study tour of Europe. Catherine operated her first store, "Kitty's Fashions" in Hubbard in 1955. Following that, she operated "Kitty's" in Cornersburg, "Kitty II" in Hermitage, "The Best Little Dress Shop" in Coitsville, and most recently, "Libby & Me" in Liberty. After her third retirement, Kitty was a permanent vendor at Four Seasons Flea and Farm Market. She loved sharing the "latest and greatest" from New York with her customers. Catherine was a member of the former St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Campbell. She was totally devoted to her Lord Jesus. Her greatest moment was the day she walked with him in Heaven. Well done, good and faithful servant. Kitty leaves to cherish her memories a host of loving and loyal friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant sister, Delores. Kitty's friends have entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home and will receive her customers and friends Tuesday from 5-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
