YOUNGSTOWN – A prayer service will be held at 9:15 AM on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at the Kubina Yuhasz Wasko Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Dominic Church, for Casey Sawicki, 78, who passed away on June 9, 2017.

Casey was born April 5, 1939 in Krakow, Poland, Europe, a son of Frank and Janina Domelewski Sawicki

He worked at Schwebel's Bakery for 40 years until his retirement, and also worked part time in the lawn and garden department of Sears, assisting with the repairs.

He was very active in many different clubs, including the Eagle's Club, Cortland Conservation Club, Boat Club, Western Reserve Motorcycle Club, and Saxon Club. He also enjoyed spending time and fishing with his brother on his boat at Lake Erie, as well as hunting.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife Marianne, whom he shared almost 50 years of marriage with, his children, Maria (Rowen) Clark of Campbell and Casey Sawicki, at home, his grandchildren, Ross, Alexia, and Ciara Clark, his sister-in-law, Anna Klaus of Germany, and his niece, Barbara Sawicki.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Peter Sawicki.

The family has entrusted Casey's care to the Kubina-Yuhasz-Wasko Funeral Home, where they will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Tuesday, June 13, 2017.

Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery.
