BOARDMAN – A service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at the Kubina Yuhasz Wasko Funeral Home celebrated by Pastor Daniel Yargo for Bruce A. Parker, who passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2016 surrounded by his loving family.

Bruce was born February 6, 1938 in Struthers, Ohio, a son of Archie and Dorothy Parker.

Bruce was a Struthers High School graduate. He served in the United States Army where he served in Korea in 1957-1958. Bruce worked at the A&P Grocery Store where he was a meat cutter from 1958-1970, then went on to work for 30 years for UPS before retiring in 2000.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories, his sons, Bruce A. Parker, Jr. of Ft. Myers, Florida, Timothy P. Parker of Richmond, Kentucky, David (Hilary) Karabin of Apex, North Carolina, and daughter Pattilee Clever of Columbus, Ohio; grandchildren Danielle, Brandon, Michael, Darian, Corey, Mackenzie, Lauryn and Hannah; and great-granddaughter Alexis.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Patsy L. Parker, whom he married September 28, 1978 and who passed away May 14, 2010, and his brother Archie L. Jr..

The family has entrusted the care of Bruce to the Kubina Yuhasz Wasko Funeral Home and will receive family and friends on Friday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and again from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, all at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Lake Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that material contributions be made to Hospice House in Bruce's memory. The Parker family would like to thank Hospice of the Valley and the caring staff at Hospice House for their kindness and compassion during Bruce's time of need.
