Blanca Iris Mercado, 47 Youngstown…Memorial services will be held at 10am Saturday at Christ the Good Shepherd Parish at Sta. Rosa de Lima Church for, Blanca Iris Mercado, 47, who passed away March 3rd in the Cleveland Clinic. Blanca was born Dec. 11, 1966 in, Mayaquez, Puerto Rico, the daughter of Carlos A. and Gloria M. Rodriguez Mercado and came to the Youngstown area 15 years ago. She was a member of the church; the Sons of Borinquen and O.C.C.H.A. She leaves to cherish her memory her mother Gloria; two brothers, Andrew Mercado of Bethlehem, Pa. and Michael Mercado of Boardman; three nieces, Alicia Mercado, Arlene Mercado and Tiawa Morales; a special aunt and uncle Mary Rodriguez and Joseph Rodriguez; and a special friend in her life, Caty Madanado. She was preceded in death by her father; two brothers, Infant Frank Mercado and David Mercado; grandmother, Barbara Rodriguez Burgos; and grandfather, Juan Serriano Rodriguez. The Mercado family has entrusted the arrangements of their loved one to the Wasko Funeral Home in Campbell.
