POLAND –A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday July 3, 2015 at 1:00PM at Our Lady of Sorrows at Sts. Cyril & Methodius Church with Fr. Martin Celuch and Fr. Regis Herschel officiating, for Bernard T. Fabry, 85, who passed away Monday, June 29, 2015. Bernard was born August 27, 1929 in Youngstown, a son of Joseph and Wilma (Gaj) Fabry. He was a 1947 graduate of Ursuline High School. Bernard served in the United States Army and was proud of his military service during the Korean War. He worked for Republic Steel and retired from Chase Bank. He was a lifelong member of Sts. Cyril & Methodius Church where he attended school and also served as an altar boy. Bernard was also a member of St. Dominic parish where he attended mass daily. He was a member of the First Catholic Slovak Ladies Association Branch 30, Rosary Cenacle at St. Dominic's, Third Order of St. Francis and Catholic War Veteran's Post 1222. He will be sadly missed by his sisters Mary Rita Martinko of Boardman and Theresa (John) Kern of Struthers and many nieces and nephews. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Joseph Fabry. The family has entrusted the care of Bernard to the Kubina Yuhasz Wasko Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery. Bernard's family would like to thank the staff of The Woodlands for their compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, Bernard's family has requested that donations be made to Our Lady of Sorrows at Sts. Cyril & Methodius Church in Bernard's name.
