Anne Hvisdak, 81

Youngstown…Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the Wasko Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. at Christ the Good Shepherd Parish at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church for Anne Hvisdak, 81, formerly of Campbell, Ohio who passed away July 10, 2016, at the Ivy Woods Manor Nursing Home in North Lima, Ohio.

She was born August 7, 1934, in Campbell, to Joseph and Theresa (Sedlak) Makosky.

Anne was raised in Youngstown, and upon graduating from North High School in 1953, she married Andrew E. Hvisdak (married 50 years), and they made their home in Campbell.

Anne enjoyed baking, going to sporting events with her husband, travelling, volunteering at church, listening to music especially polka music, dancing, sewing, crocheting and weaving.

She is survived by her three children, Deborah (Ken) Folkwein, David (Debra) Hvisdak and Andrew (Wendy) Hvisdak; her brothers, John Makosky of Campbell, and Andy Makosky of Struthers; and six grandchildren; Zachary, Veronica, Mary Ann, Christopher, Andrew, and Anjulyn.

Anne was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Helenka, Theresa Miller and brothers, George, Eddie, Steve, Joseph and Bill Makosky.

The Hvisdak family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home and will receive family and friends Thursday evening from 6-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
