There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am, Wednesday July 13,2016 at St. Matthias Church for Ann (Hudak) Kozar 87, who passed away July 9, 2016 at Hospice House.
Ann was born February 17, 1929, a daughter of John and Anna Repasky Hudak. She was lovingly called "Ainka" or " Little Ann" by her family and friends. She was the beloved wife of the late William Kozar.
Ann attended Campbell Memorial High School and worked at Kohlers Dry Cleaning, the Mural Room and the Youngstown Letter Shop.
Those who knew Ann remember her as a loving, kind, and giving person. She was devoted to her family and her church. She adored her grandchildren and delighted in their accomplishments. She was an excellent cook and baker, and nothing made her happier than to prepare a wonderful meal and to have her children and grandchildren gather around the table to enjoy it.
Ann was a member of St Matthias Sacred Heart and Rosary Society, the Senior Golden Echoes, the Infant of Prague Guild, and Jednota branches 161 and 731. She volunteered at the St. Vincent DePaul Soup Kitchen, St. Paul the Apostle Piroghy, and the Touched by Nathan Foundation.
She is survived by her daughters, AnnMarie (Jerry) Hiznay of New Springfield, Kathleen Doyle of Chardon, and Mary Ellen "Mer" (Will) Michael of Boardman; six grandchildren, AnnMarie (Ed) Conner, Jessica (Daniel) Pfeifer, Will Michael, Jeff (April) Michael, Capt. Robert Doyle USMC, and Katherine (Brad) Haynik; and three great grandchildren, Corey Karabin, Hannah Karabin and Emily Conner.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sisters Margaret Kresovsky, Helen Toth, Mary Hudak and her four brothers John, Joseph, Stephen, and Frank.
The family will receive friends from 9:00-9:50am Wednesday prior to mass at the church.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Kubina Yuhahz Wasko Funeral Home.
The family requests memorial contributions in Ann's memory to Hospice of the Valley or the Touched by Nathan Foundation
