Obituary

An hour of calling will be held from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Sorrows Parish at St. Matthias Church on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 followed immediately by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Fr. Martin Celuch for Albert Pasquale, 88, who passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on March 25, 2016. Al was born November 13, 1927 in Youngstown, Ohio, a son of Angeline (DiTommaso) and Frank Pasquale. He was a Woodrow Wilson High School graduate, served in the United States Navy, and retired from the Youngstown Health Department in 1985. Al was very active in St. Matthias church where he had sung in the men's choir, was a member of the Holy Name Society and Sacred Heart & Rosary Society. He was also a member of the Boardman American Legion Post 565. He leaves behind to cherish his memories, his beloved wife, Flo, whom he married August 26, 1950; his children Linda Spassil, Dr. David Pasquale (Bernadette), and Ron Pasquale, grandchildren; Nicholas, Mark, Franca, Anthony and Angelo, his siblings; Gene (Delia) Pasquale and Charlene (Lou) Franceschelli, brother-in-law Dr. Frank Damiano, and many nieces and nephews Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Emma Damiano. The family has entrusted the care of Al to the Kubina Yuhasz Wasko Funeral Home where they will receive friends on Monday from 4:00pm-6:00pm. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that material contributions be made to the upkeep and care of the Blessed Mother Shrine at St. Matthias Church, something that Al took great pride in. The Pasquale family would like to thank Dr. Santuccio Riccardi and the staff of All Caring Hospice for their compassionate care of Al during his time of need.
