Agnes M. Mastronarde, 92 Campbell…Funeral services will be held Saturday at 12:30 p.m. at the Wasko Funeral Home and at 1:00 p.m. at St. Angela Merici Catholic Church, formerly Sacred Heart Church in Youngstown, with Father Kevin Peters officiating, for Agnes M. Mastronarde, 92, of Campbell, who passed away Monday, May 20th at Shepherd of the Valley. Agnes was born March 7, 1921, in Youngstown, the daughter of John and Marie McCann Scahill. She was a 1939 graduate of East High School. Agnes was a lifelong area resident. Agnes retired from Strouss' / May Company Department Store in 1988 with over 20 years as a sales clerk. Following her retirement from Strouss', she served as a receptionist at Park Vista Senior Center for 10 years. She was a member of St. Angela Merici Church, formerly Sacred Heart Church in Youngstown and was active in their Ladies Guild. Most of all, Agnes enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Mary (Jeff) Schindler of Greenford; her sons, James R. (Marilyn) Mastronarde of Salem, Michael J. (Dolly) Mastronarde of Struthers, and John Mastronarde of Columbus; a brother, Robert Scahill of New Middletown; nine grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Her husband, Guy C. Mastronarde, whom she married April 24, 1948, passed away, August 31, 1991. Agnes was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Guy; and her three brothers, Joseph, Jack, and Paul Scahill. The Mastronarde family has entrusted their loved one to the care of the Wasko Funeral Home and will receive friends Saturday morning from 10:30 to 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
